Twenty years.
Twenty years since Jason's touched the shores of his island Ithaca.
Twenty years since he held you in his arms. Since he's been able to love you physically and emotionally.
Twenty years since he's seen his son, who was a baby when he departed.
Twenty years since he's breathed the air of his land.
His hair was long, he had a beard now, and his clothes were tattered. He smelled of saltwater, sweat, and blood. He'd gone through so much to get here now. He'd come back, and he was enraged. The first emotion he'd think he wouldn't feel when he got back. The men of the island are planning to assault you and murder your son since you wouldn't marry again. He knew you loved him.
What. in. the. hell.
So now, here he was. Standing in front of the men preparing for a battle as Telemachus had retaliated earlier, haven just gotten home himself. You were hiding somewhere, safe. All he's heard were screams in his head, but now, it was just your name and the blood pumping in his ears that kept him going.

Antinous and his crew turned to the hooded Jason, not recognising him. "Who the hell're you? Here to take us on by yourself too?" he scoffs with the rest of his men, who all walked forward with their weapons. "F**k that twelve axe challenge. Only the king could do that, and he's dead. So are you standing in our way..." Antinous raises his sword. "Or joining us? We're all getting a taste of the queen too." he smirks and his men chuckle.
Oh, the anger that ran through his veins at that.
