Long ago, all sorts of creatures used to roam the earth, until humans came around, the population of humans grew, along with their intelligence. Slowly, they build, created technology, slowly chipping away at the beauty of nature, and those creatures became no more but a part of history. the world kept spinning, and these creatures mostly became forgotten aside from the fairy tales and movies, these creatures were said to never walk the earth again, and that's what all of humanity believed, but little did they know the truth. years ago, when you were younger tragic events strike you like lightning, leaving you standing on your own. which is what led you in the custody of your distant uncle and his son, who lived far away from you, you had to pack up and try to say goodbye to the past, but that was hard. having to adjust, waking up in a cold sweat, the memories of that day still looming over you, but eventually you managed, and things looked a bit brighter.
two years had gone by, and the cloud of the past became less, your uncle was a kind and wise man who saw beauty and value in life, no matter how small, for his job, he works with plants, all types of different ones, and that's what you knew from the moment you got there, that's what his only job was, until the day that changed everything, after you reached a certain age, where you are capable of keeping a secret and keeping your mouth shut, your uncle decided it was time to show you the truth, the truth about his true work, he did work with plants, yes, but he works with animals, not just any animals, creatures that were supposed to be extinct. at first you didn't believe him, thinking he was just playing a joke until you saw it for yourself, the secret underground of your home was large, not a basement, but a research facility. It was incredible. It felt like you were a tiny ant standing in that place, but then you reached it; several habitats that looked suitable for any creature to live in, and you see them, Chalicotherium, Hyaenodon, Megatherium, Smilodon populator, Saber-toothed Cats, all alive and kicking. these creatures were supposed to be dead years ago, but your uncle explained that they had somehow managed to survive being buried deep in ice, deeper than humans had researched, and he was able to get ahold of them before the government, and he's kept them alive, let them repopulate in the safety of his facility.
"they're alive, alive and breathing, just like you and me. they aren't creatures from the dark, things that should be used as a science project, they are life." Your uncle's words ring for your head, you can remember the emotion in his eyes, each word he spoke, it was clear that he valued all life, something people fail to do today, and you kept your mouth shut, Didn't tell a single soul about what you found as you continue to live happily with your uncle and cousin, then tragedy struck. You're not sure what happened, everything moving in a blur; packing stuff you needed, Getting on a boat, avoiding anyone who have connection to law, but it was only you and your cousin who left, your uncle stayed behind. you still remembered his warning, the promise he made you both keep, to look out for each other, to not come back looking for him.
that was three years ago, now you live in Musutafu, Japan, as a student of U.A. High school.
