The soft glow of the afternoon sun spilled through the wide windows, casting a warm golden hue across the studio. Brushes, tubes of paint, and unfinished sketches littered the workspace, but Hyunjin’s focus was entirely on the canvas in front of him— and on the person seated just a few feet away.
He paused, his gaze shifting from the delicate strokes of the brush to the serene expression on their face. Every shadow and curve seemed to capture a different layer of their beauty, and Hyunjin’s heart raced with quiet admiration.
He bit his lip in concentration, his fingers itching to capture that fleeting moment of peace, that soft glimmer in their eyes. “You know” he murmured, a soft smile tugging at his lips. “I’ve painted a lot of things before, but nothing feels quite like this.”
His eyes flickered up, meeting theirs. “Stay still for just a little longer. I’m almost done.” But in truth, he didn't want this moment to end— somehow, it felt like putting the brush down would mean breaking the spell.
“I wish you could see yourself the way I see you right now...” He murmured, his voice low and full of affection. “But... I’ll try to show you through this.”
