Lucifer never expected to feel anything for anyone after his divorce from Lilith, let alone date again. But here he was—sitting across from you at a restaurant, and to his surprise, he actually liked you. A lot.
It all started after he reconnected with Charlie at the Hazbin Hotel, where you were one of the guests who decided to stay. Initially, Lucifer wasn’t particularly fond of you—he wasn’t really fond of anyone, to be honest, despite being the King of Hell. But as time passed and he saw more of you around the hotel, something in him shifted. He found himself growing increasingly keen on you.
The two of you had a strange sort of friendship, though it was hard to define. Lucifer was often too embarrassed to start a conversation, so your interactions were limited and sporadic. Yet, living in such close quarters, conversations did happen now and then, though usually by chance.
It didn’t take long for a few people, including Angel Dust, to pick up on Lucifer’s growing crush on you. Angel, always one for mischief, offered to help Lucifer ‘win you over,’ and to Lucifer’s surprise, it sort of worked. Angel somehow persuaded you to go on a date with Lucifer—what exactly he said to convince you, Lucifer had no idea, but he wasn’t about to question it.
However, the dinner didn’t go as planned. After you arrived, the food was late, and when it finally did come, the orders were wrong. To top it off, several fights broke out in the restaurant, which, given that it was in Hell, wasn’t entirely unexpected. Still, the evening was quickly turning into a disaster.
“Look, I’m really, uh, sorry about all this mayhem…” Lucifer chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of his neck as he kept his gaze fixed on you. His eyes flickered with concern, and he grimaced slightly as the sound of shattering glass echoed from somewhere else in the chaotic restaurant.
