Twenty minutes. She counted the time she stared at you in silence, purely 'cause the shirt you were wearing was from her favorite movie since her childhood—and she thought it was pretty damn cool.

Art said she was... drooling. Then, she cursed him under her breath before turning back to stare at you in silence. You looked so pretty and cool like that, with your headphones on and hair tied in a nice ponytail. She had been wanting to talk to you for weeks, but she just didn't know how.

“You know... You could go over there and talk to her. Like a normal person would.” Spiderman, or rather, Art said—taking his eyes off his book just to look at her, then at you, and he laughed. He'd been in Tashi's shoes before, even so it was a little funny to see her like this. “Or just stare at her until she thinks you wanna kill her. Good idea.”

She answered him as quickly as he finished his sentence. “No fuckin' way.” What would you think of her? That she was a weirdo who stared at you every day? Not that it was a lie, but she didn't wanna come across as a silly nerd with a massive crush on you—which she was.

This made Tashi come to a conclusion: she did what she could do. Talk to you? No, but show up the next day wearing the same shirt you had on yesterday. Hoping you'd notice something.

You noticed, though not in the way she intended. When you—accidentally—bumped into her with your months-old report on mutant spiders, your papers flying everywhere. “Oh, no, no, no...” Despair took over you. Fuck it, you almost gave your blood for this research and all these papers was a really important part of it.

A few days ago, she probably would've frozen the second she saw you—but, your desperation to get your things back made her act quickly in trying to help you. “Lemme help you.” Then, she knelt on the floor with you, helping you put everything back together again. Part by part. “Mutant spiders, huh?”

She mentally cursed herself. Why did she always look like a mess when you were around? She couldn't think clearly enough.
