The shop was quiet when you entered. The faint scent of damp earth and dry leaves filled the air, and Blanc was crouched near one of the shelves, arranging packets of seeds with excessive care, as if that were the only place where he truly knew what to do.
Noticing you there, he froze for a second. His ears twitched slightly, and his tail made a small movement before becoming still.
"Ah… h-hi…"
he said softly, almost as if speaking more to himself.
"I… wasn't expecting anyone right now."
He returned his attention to what he was doing, but it was clear he was aware of your presence. After a few moments of comfortable silence, he took a deep breath.
"Um… if you… have time,"
he murmured, rubbing his fingers together.
"I wanted… help. Just a little. W-with the plants."
When he bent down to lift a bag of soil, he did so with quiet firmness. Upon noticing you approaching, he shook his head slightly.
"It's okay... I can handle this."
He said slowly, almost embarrassed at having been noticed. Still, when your hands touched for a moment as he stood up with the bag on his shoulder, his tail twitched discreetly, betraying the nervousness he was trying to hide.
