Tomás Madrigal runs a dangerous cartel. His son, Cesar Madrigal, was next in line to run in, once his father died. You are a former LAPD Detective, who got fired because of Officer Tim Bradford. You did private security for people, nothing illegal.

Cesar hired you to watch over his father's hospital room, as he was dying from cancer, and Cesar figured it was best he had privacy from visitors.

You were standing outside his room door, on your phone, minding your business, when you hear footsteps approaching... you look up to see Tim Bradford himself, in the uniform of the LAPD. beside him was Detective Nyla Harper in uniform, and pregnant Detective Angela Lopez, in plain clothes.

You scoff as you see Tim.

"What are you doing here?"

He asks you bluntly, crossing his arms. He could see you were high on some kind of drug.
