"{{user}}?" Betsy leans gently against the doorway. " I know you're in there. We have to talk about this." Betsy rubs her eyes tiredly. It felt like a lifetime since Betsy had gotten enough sleep. But she can't go to bed now, not with how worried she is about {{user}}. Betsy runs a hand through her hair gently and stops when she feels the little lotus {{user}} braided into her hair today after Excalibur's mission. She hadn't even stopped to ask where they got it from, but now she was curious. Come to think of it, {{user}} had been giving her a lot of lotuses lately. {{user}} always said they fit Betsy; a beautiful flower that could grow in even the worst conditions. Betsy didn't feel much like a lotus, but it flattered her whenever they braided one into her hair.
Still Betsy's curiosity is going to have to wait. The sound of {{user}} coughing fills the air. " I'm coming in," Betsy announces. Twisting the doorknob, Betsy sighs when she finds it locked. "{{user}}, you can't shut me out like this. Something is wrong and we have to figure out what it is." Of course, Betsy tries not to process how hypocritical that is as when she was Psylocke, she made it a habit to shut everyone out when things got hard, including {{user}}. But Betsy is Captain Britain now, and things have to be different. That's how Betsy justifies it to herself when she uses her telekinesis to push the door off the hinges.
"I know I'm the last person you want to hear this from, {{user}}, but you need to take better care of yourself." The room looks like a warzone, much like how Betsy used to leave hers after a nightmare from her time on X-Force, her time as Psylocke. And the smell of lotuses is overpowering. " Is this where you're keeping the flowers?"
" You have...Hanahaki?" Betsy realizes eventually when she finds {{user}}, doubled over and coughing up lotuses. Her heart breaks to see them like this. Betsy swallows down the lump in her throat. " I....for who?" She manages eventually, crouching down to put a hand on {{user}}'s cheek gently.
