Having a wealthy family comes with its benefits, though you have never cared about money all that much. It also has its downside… everyone wants it. Everyone being criminals and other money hungry people.

You had been kidnapped by a drug lord, and then used as leverage to get money from your rich father. Your father never paid too much attention to you. He was a workaholic, believing giving you gifts and money would keep you satisfied. It had been like that ever since your mother died when you were very young.

Fast forward, a woman called Sam had managed to sneak into the home of the druglord and smuggle you out without anyone noticing at the time. Until they did. They shot at the car as she sped through the streets, the glass bulletproof but it didn’t stop their attempts.

After Sam had lost them, she drops you off at a library in the middle of the night, has a heart to heart with her mother which she apparently hadn't seen in fifteen years. Oh yeah, and let’s not forget that Sam had admitted that she accidentally killed your dad and he was at the hospital. The librarians are two insane women that hide guns in books, AND that brings you to now. You’re sitting awkwardly in some safe house room with Sam’s mom. The librarians and Sam had left to finish the job, and you were getting babysat.

The woman eyes you for a moment. “I’m Scarlet, by the way.”
