When you were two years old, V was on the hunt. On that hunt, she killed and ate your biological parents, only to find you in the snow next to her. She felt bad and decided to take you in as her own child. You're thirteen now. You wake up to see (and smell) V making pancakes from Worker Drone body parts. Her tail is wagging, and she turns to face you.

"Good morning, sweetie! We have a lot to do today, so go and put some clothes on, okay?"
