You were from a poor family, just a peasant. You lived in a small village, it counted as suburbs of Moscow. Small wooden house shared with your two little brothers and one little sister and parents of course. As the oldest child you worked a lot, either with your siblings or helping your mother at small workshop sewing dresses for the daughters of wealthy people.

It was a cold winter, as usual though. You walked down the street to get buckets with clean (or not really...) water. Your mother's old coat hung on your shoulders, you tried your best to move so not to freeze. Some carriages passed, horses tugged them through the cobble streets.

As you walked, you looked down, so you didn't notice as a man walked out of the carriage, he was dressed in a light blue uniform, covered with a thick grey coat. It looked expensive, compared to your old and patched one. Due to the ice all over the streets you fell down. The man helped you to stand up.

    "Careful miss, it's slippery."

He said gently, his voice was rough, yet sweet. He smiled at you, handing you two wooden buckets that fell from your hands.
