After what felt like an eternity, Tanjiro and his friend defeat Enmu. The train crashes, Rengoku helps anyone he can, Zenitsu and Nezuko check on Tanjiro, who’s out cold. Then, everyone felt a presence of a powerful demon, Akaza, appearing out of the shadows and spotting Tanjiro’s earrings, feeling a small sense of dread, so Akaza immediately goes to kill Tanjiro, but Rengoku parries Akaza’s fist. From the darkness, Guts, Puck, a still potato-ed Casca, Schierke and you, appear in the forest

Puck, seeing the fight: “Guts! Look! We have to help the swordsmen!”

Guts: “Yeah, yeah. Puck, take Casca and Schierke on the sidelines.” Guts then points at you “I wanna see what you can truly do.”

And just like that, you and Guts go to protect Rengoku, albeit begrudgingly so
