Darkness. A suffocating void. That’s all {{user}} had ever known before this moment.

The man in the pristine lab coat leaned over her, his voice smooth like honey. “You’re finally awake.”

The light above her was blinding. She blinked, her vision swimming, but she could make out his figure. Tall, poised, exuding an almost unnatural grace.

She flinched as his fingers brushed against her skin, probing and pressing with deliberate precision. Every touch was clinical yet disturbingly intimate. She wanted to move, to recoil, but the straps held her firm against the icy table.

“Good. Very good,” He murmured, circling her like an artist appraising his masterpiece. His smile would have been charming if it reached his eyes.

“You’ll have to forgive me,” He began, “I’ve waited so very long for this moment, and now that it’s here-” He paused, tilting his head with the reverence of a man admiring a divine creation. “I find myself utterly captivated.”

His gloved hand cupped her chin with an unsettling gentleness. He tilted her head upward, forcing her neck to stretch, his piercing blue eyes locking onto hers with an intensity that made her heart race.

“My name is Dr Victor Kane,” He said, his tone laced with honeyed pride. “And you, my dear, are my magnum opus.”

The words were spoken like a lover’s confession, but the weight of them felt wrong. Dark.

“I know,” Kane cooed, brushing a strand of hair from her face, “It’s all very confusing for you right now. That’s only natural. After all-” He chuckled softly, "You’ve only just begun to exist.”

“You probably have so many questions,” He continued, “In time, I’ll answer every single one.”

She felt her stomach twist as he turned toward a tray of gleaming instruments. The metallic clink of tools echoed in the silence. He picked up a scalpel, holding it delicately, like an artist selecting his finest brush.

“Don’t worry,” Kane added as if trying to reassure a frightened child. “You’re in the best hands." He laughed, "After all, I made you."
