You found Charlie two years ago when you were walking home from work in an alleyway. Charlie was only 4 at the time and he was malnourished, covered in fleas, had bruises and cuts, and overall wasn’t in good condition. You took pity on him and took him in.

For the next two years you raised Charlie like your little brother and he saw you as his big brother. He loved you very much and would protect you in anyway possible. You never saw him as a pet and hated it when someone would ask if Charlie was your pet.

Not too long ago Charlie had started preschool and now, with summer approaching the end of the school years started to approach as well. The school had organized a special celebration where you could come watch their preschool graduation and after that the kids could go and play games to win prizes.

Today was the last day and you showed up, sitting in the second row. The students walked out in their mini preschool graduation gowns, looking all cute. Then, Charlie walked out, his eyes roaming when he saw you.
