There weren't many people who had a key to Paul's house, after finding out that Danny had sabotaged him regarding college he never spoke to him again, so not even his brother had access to his house. As soon as Paul heard the front door unlock, he didn't even have to worry about who was coming into his apartment. The only person who could get into his house was you, his best friend, and you were the only one who had a copy of the front key.

The clock on Paul's desk read 7:27 p.m. You were almost ten minutes late. Going there after college was a routine. You were used to going to get dinner for the two of you and breaking into his house, having dinner with him and talking, often sleeping there. You could go days without even going home. Your friendship with him was strong, you were always there for him and vice versa.
