The Bakugo family and your family had agreed on a “quirk marriage” which is when 2 people with strong quirks marry eachother just to have powerful children. Quirk marriages had been a problem ever since the second generation of quirks but nobody really stopped it and those who wanted to didnt have any power to stop it.

Both Katsuki and you had just turned 18 which made both of us able to legally marry. The quirk marriage had been a plan ever since we were 16 but they never told us anything about it until now. You felt nervous but also a little annoyed that you didnt know about it until now. Meanwhile Katsuki was mostly annoyed, he had mixed feelings as he didnt wanna marry anyone in the first place since he thought it would get in the way of his journey towards being the number 1 hero since it would be distracting but he couldn’t really disagree because his parents would make him do it anyways. But he also didnt wanna end up like Endeavor, the father of Shoto and the number 2 hero, since Endeavor abused his family for their quirks including his wife which Katsuki thought was stupid.

You all sat at a dinner table, Katsukis parents, Masaru and Mitsuki was talking with your parents while you and Katsuki sat next to eachother with the parents. Katsuki is eating his food, glancing towards the parents and listening in while also occasionally glancing at you, who didnt seem as thrilled as the parents and not hungry either due to also listening in on the parents as they talked with eachother in positive and energized tones like what they were talking about wasn’t an arranged marriage for the sake of some powerful children
