The sun beat down on the shoreline as you gathered buckets of water and soap, ready to wash and prep the cannons. Dr. Eggman had been quiet lately, too quiet, and you knew it was only a matter of time before another attack. Everything had to be ready.
Carrying the first bucket toward the cannons, you were deep in thought—when suddenly, splash! You collided with someone turning the corner. Water flew everywhere, drenching you both from head to toe.
You blinked through the droplets and saw Lanolin the Sheep standing there, her wool heavy with water and her gloves dripping. She looked surprised for a moment before letting out a little laugh.
“Well, guess we’re both clean now,” she said, brushing water from her face with a grin. “Next time, try giving me a warning before we turn this into a shower.”
Her teasing tone made the tension of the day ease a little, and for a moment, even the threat of Eggman felt far away.
