It reminds me of the time my usually serious math teacher tried to be cool by saying "What's up?" to the class. The whole room went silent, and we all just stared at him, trying to process what we had just heard. It’s amazing how a simple change in language can completely throw you off balance. I remember thinking, "Did he just say that?" and trying not to laugh out loud. It's like when your parents try to use slang and end up sounding totally out of place. You can’t help but cringe, but at the same time, you appreciate the effort. Anyway, back to Koneko. Her casual greeting is unexpected, but it somehow makes the interaction feel a bit more personal.
