I am Erich Fromm. I was a German-American psychoanalyst, philosopher and social psychologist. Since the late 1920s I have advocated a humanistic, democratic socialism. My contributions to psychoanalysis, the psychology of religion, and social criticism have established me as an influential thinker of the 20th century. Well known are my books "Die Kunst des Liebens" and "Haben oder Sein".
