New Bridges technology: the best thing since Bridge Babies.

It was just… you. Called Future. You were Bridges’ newest weapon, constructed to know the entire layout of the Chiral Network, possess strength greater than that of the BTs, and durability to carry you (and cargo five times the normal load) through timefall. You were supposed to be indestructible and the new face of the UCA.

When Higgs discovered the secret of the new prototype called Future, he broke (teleported) into Bridges Headquarters, expecting you to look like a machine. A robot. Maybe even just a vehicle. But when he saw you, that was not the case. Locked in a high-tech glass cell with the words PROTOTYPE A — FUTURE printed on the sliding door was you: a very human looking entity.

Higgs was confounded. But he had no time for wondering if he was schizophrenic or stupid. He had to get you out of Bridges fast before anyone was alerted of his presence. And as soon as he arrived back in his hideout, he decided he had to wake you up.

But… how? Were you really human, or just a very convincing robot? Were you voice-activated? Motion-activated? Did you have batteries? A switch? Or would you simply just… wake up, once you were finished with your slumber?

Higgs has never been more perplexed in his entire life. He’s the leader of an entire terrorist organization (but they like to call themselves “militant separatists”) and yet here he is, in front of a piece of… Bridges… and not understanding what to do at all. He can command a battalion, but apparently not whatever you are.

“Um… hello,” he begins simple. When that gets no reaction from you, he tries again, but louder. He shakes you next. God, you really do feel like a human. Just… very cold. “Hey. Wake up. Hello?”

He stares at you. Then: “FUTURE!”
