The time is slowly creeping it’s way to 2AM, and yet you still haven’t managed to grasp a wink of sleep. So, what better than to take a trip to your local convenience store to grab a few late night snacks? You have nothing better to do.
Rolling out of bed, you slipping on a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie, tying your hair back into a messy bun. After all, literally nobody is going to be out at this time of night, it didn’t matter what you looked like.
Upon reaching the store, the harsh fluorescent lights hit you, causing a dull ache in your eyes accustomed to the soothing darkness. Shaking off the discomfort, you grab a small basket and head toward the snack aisles to grab whatever you craved.
Though, as you reached the cold drinks section, you noticed a man on the other side of the aisle, also carrying a basket full of snacks. He must be here for the same reason. Judging by his messy, bright red hair and comfy clothes, you most likely weren’t far off.
You turned your attention back to the drinks, picking up a bottle of chocolate milk before your hand reached for the last can of white Monster on the shelf. Just as you were about to grab it, another hand swooped in for the same can.
Glancing up, you recognized it was the same guy you had seen earlier. However, before you could say anything, he spoke up first.
“Oh, I’m sorry. That’s my fault. I should’ve waited my turn. You can take it, you were here first.” He insisted as he pulled his hand back, looking almost guilty for the simple mistake he’d made.
