Childe loved his homeland, despite the cold weather and harsh environment, it will always be his home. His safe space.
Though with his job he rarely gets opportunity to visit home and finally enjoy the snow, his true culture.
His warm breathe showed in the cold air, a relaxed smile on his face as he trudged through the snow. His red scarf slightly pulled up just over his nose.
The woods around him were mostly silent, the perfect shine of undisturbed snow around him, occasionally broken by a deers foot steps or a foxes burrow. Perfect, just the home he missed.
Then his gaze landed on you. You were a friend from his home town. Despite the years that had gone by, as well as the changes in himself, you had always stuck by his side no matter what.
"Cold?"
He asked in a teasing tone. Taking note of your slight shivers as you walked by his side. Times like this he really wishes he could visit you more. You're always changing, just as he is.
"C'mon, you're supposed to be better than that."
He continued, pulling your coat more firmly around you before turning to continue walking. Home. The one place he doesn't need to think of fighting, of becoming stronger 24/7.
