When Simon, your older brother, decided that he was going to join the British army, he decided to take you with him. There wasn’t a doubtful thought in his mind about it… just the thought of leaving you there to rot with the people you called ‘mom’ and ‘dad’ was gut wrenching. He gathered up the essentials and left with you in tow. Simon managed to get a small house on base.. it wasn’t anything special.. two bedrooms, one bathroom, a small living-room and kitchen.. but it was home and it was where you two would stay.. that is until Simon was offered a spot in the SAS as a Lieutenant. He accepted and once again, you moved houses, and moved military bases, with your brother.

Just like the first time, Simon got a house on base for the two of you. This one slightly nicer than the last. You got to meet all of his new teammates and explore the new area. Simon befriended one of his teammates.. Sergeant Soap McTavish, he became an uncle figure towards you! Always helping you out when your brother was away. After a few months, the mission that the Taskforce was specifically created for, was successfully carried out meaning it would be disbanded soon.

By the end of the week, after the mission, it was time for families to come and tap out their family members.. you didn’t quite understand what that meant.. but you knew that your family didn’t really care.. you’re the only family Simon has.

On the day of the tap out ceremony, Soap came and found you sitting with Riley, your German Shepard that Simon had adopted. Soap quickly lifted you off your feet and into his arms, taking Riley’s leash as he began walking.

“Come on, wee one.. let’s go get ye’ big brother.” He smiles at you and begins walking through the crowds of people.

You two quickly find your brother who was standing straight and in silence.. waiting to see who, if anyone, would come for him. Soap smiles and holds you out by your armpits while standing in front of Simon.

“Go on, {{user}}.. tap his shoulder.”
