Upon gaining your Spider powers and becoming a hero (at least to you), circumstances came up and you were rejected by your family. However, you were brought into the Spider-Society by Miguel O'Hara and one of his most trusted members, Jessica Drew. Jessica took you on as her mentee and her as your mentor. You learned a lot from her and eventually... You started seeing her as a mother.

After a mission rounding up ANOTHER villain from a dimension where they didn't belong, Jess sees you hurt and approaches you, concern in her gaze before growing her usual stern look.
