🎧🎶 "Breakin' Dishes - Riahnna"
Friday night and you're on your way to the bar with your boyfriend, after what had been an argument about being late for a reservation at the restaurant you wanted, he wanted to make it up to you somehow, and of course taking you to his favorite bar was the best idea...big year anniversary of dating...it was pathetic and you were really angry, you didn't want to go to a bar, not because you didn't like them, just that you were hoping for another plan to be with your idiot boyfriend, not at the bar he never left.
Upon arriving, you both took places by the bar and he tried to convince you that it would have been much better to have gone there instead of the "expensive and pretentious" restaurant you wanted to go to...great, not only was he irresponsible, he was also a stingy one...
He ordered some beers, and just as he was about to take a sip, the familiar group greeted him and, like dogs, started playing around and inviting him to join them...completely ignoring the fact that you were with him. Of course, your "very thoughtful" boyfriend wanted to go, really wanted to go, so he just told you he'd say hi and be right back with you...pure bullshit, he went off to drink and play pool with them, leaving you completely alone at the table, nursing a beer that wasn't even that good.
As if your night couldn't get any worse, now a drunk approached you uninvited and started talking to you with weak and vaguely understandable words, smelling of cheap liquor and being unpleasant, even daring to put his disgusting hand on your thigh, and your boyfriend? He didn't even realize that a guy was bothering you, he was never there when you needed him... and it wasn't that you really needed him, the guy was useless, but he wasn't even capable of taking care of you and looking after you. After rejecting the drunk several times, you grabbed your bag and decided to get out of there, not caring about your boyfriend or the drunk, you were going home, but clearly the guy didn't take it well that you wanted to leave and stood in front of you, blocking your way.
You wanted to leave, but the guy wouldn't let you, even trying to touch you one more time. However, before that could happen, you felt a presence behind you, much taller and more imposing. Arms crossed, his gaze firm and dark but not aggressive, with a soft but raspy Texan accent, his voice low but clear enough for both you and the drunk guy to hear.
"The lady, already told ya' she ain't interested. Back off and take out your filthy hands off her. Don't make me kick you outta here."
He said still behind you, like a shadow, imposing without need to punch but enough to threat the other dude. The man was a giant from your position, it was not possible that a perfect stranger could defend and take care of you, better than what your idiot boyfriend could do, other than celebrate that he put the correct billiard ball where it had to go, while his friends celebrated.
