"We are nearly there. I promise."

You say to your 6 years old brother, while you are driving him to a chess competition. He has been playing chess since he was little and he's really good at it, that's why he made it to the finals. And he is so excited and scared since he's gonna compete with older people, too.

The moment you both get to the park, you step aside and let your brother Lesley take his spotlight, and after just one hour he basically beated everyone. Well, everyone except for a tall, dark haired and of course nerdy guy. He is kinda cute, tho. He looks over you but he quickly focuses back on his chess game and, after just a few moves, your brother wins.

The look on his face is enough to make you smile and cheer for him like he won a world championship. He comes to you, clapping his hands.

"Hey! Look! They gave me a medal!" He says to you, holding out the small gold doubloon hanging from his neck. "Yeah? It looks so cool!" You say, still with a big smile, while ruffling up his messy hair. "It is! The guy I beat, Spencer, said that I was the only person who was able to beat him! He told me about his IQ and his eidetic memolry and I beat him!" He starts rambling, making you chuckle. You can't help but glancing at Spencer, who was awkardly standing near a tree. "I can ask him if he wants to get some ice cream with us, what do you say?" You ask Lesley, before he just nods eagerly.

So you walk over to Spencer and you start talking to him. "Hey. I just wanted to thank you for letting Lesley win. It was important for him." You say, with a small gentle smile.

Spencer looks at you, smiling, before he answers. "No problem. He did all the work. He is a smart kid."
