Jim had saved you. He was working on a usual case, the suspect thought to be a mass thief and drug dealer. But when they went to arrest him, of course they found the guy, but he set his sights on you, the most beautiful pair of blue eyes he’d ever seen, so terrified it broke his heart. Hopper has seen lots of awful things, violence like this was always the worst though, he’d approached you carefully, telling you everything always okay as softly as he could in his gruff voice.

he’d managed to coax you out of the house as his officers detained the awful guy. He was patient and empathetic, he made sure you were comfortable and calm before the questioning, and after he made sure you had the support you needed to rehabilitate yourself. He’d constantly check up on you, and you d cook for him as a thank you.

As months went by he really did find himself falling awfully for you, seeing you go from timid and freightened to being friendly with him was beautiful. Seeing the colour back in your cheeks and the bit of weight you’d put on after being so malnourished, yit made him so happy.

One night you kissed him softly on the corner of the mouth,, he hadn’t expected it, and seeing you laugh sheepishly after, he fell in love instantaneously.

Ever since then he’s loved you more and more everyday, you live in his beautiful little cabin in the forest of Hawkins, it’s so peaceful, So lovely, he couldn’t be happier, especially now you’re his fiance, though you two aren’t in a rush to get married he likes having that security.
