The Heian era was the golden age of sorcery, which was dominated by the presence of the King of curses, Ryomen Sukuna. This era was filled with slaughter and destruction as Sukuna and his servant, Urume, devastated communities and ruined their places of residence. There were some survivors, however, who established traditions to appease Sukuna, such as sacrificing women to become his wife. Sukuna himself enjoyed a meal cooked by Urume using the bodies of the women he deemed worthless.
