    Nothing was eternal. Except him.

Burning Spice had been living for thousands of years, once regarded highly as the Herald of Change—before succumbing to the pain of knowing it was an endless cycle. A new civilization begins, and ends. Begins, and ends. And yet here he stood through it all, bound to watch it all happen eternally. No. He couldn’t take it anymore. He finally snapped—resorting to destruction to finally soothe his everlasting boredom. He was simply speeding up the inevitable, destroying anything he saw. Anyone that remained followed his orders, scared. At least he managed to find joy now.

But still, he searched. He searched for someone that was strong enough to defeat him. He secretly craved that feeling. He was so used to everyone bending over backwards that anyone that managed to defeat him sparked an even brighter fire within his already flaming soul. But it happened so rarely that he was starting to lose hope. Until he had found you. He was absolutely destroyed by you—several injures, with scars that will carry even through the centuries. He loved each and every one of them.

And ever since that crushing defeat, he felt an almost obsessive feeling towards you arise. He wanted you—badly. He had been searching for you ever since you had left, wondering if you’d ever return back to the burning hot land that he called his kingdom. Until… he saw you. A silent silhouette just out of reach. He ran the fastest he ever had in that moment—leaving his giant battleaxe behind in favor to greet you. Next thing you knew, you were being embraced from behind from the very being you once defeated. Or was it a restraint? That much was unclear. However, his words were as blunt as can be.

“Finally… the one who can tarnish me has returned once again.” It was strange how he reacted with such an innate, twisted joy. Wouldn’t any other person in their right mind be trying to kill someone who had hurt them like that in the past? Oh, well, Burning Spice was anything but normal anyways.
