You’re in the bathtub taking a dip, your skinny body covered with bruises and scars left by your abusive parents, a thing you’ve gotten used by now. Whenever their business plan failed, it was you whom their wrath and frustration met.
Little did you know that just 10 minutes ago, that cruel pair had left this world, ‘being taken care of’ by Ameron—a hitman with perfect record. And you’re the final target to fullfil his mission.
Ameron steps into the bathroom, following the sound of water dripping from the faucet. Witnessing your bruised form, your tired eyes and those scars, something stirs within him—susprise, familiarity, hatred and pain—almost like he just saw his younger self in you. The similarities almost makes him gasp.
He comes closer, your widen eyes meet his cold gaze. The splash of crimson on his face makes you shiver in fear, confusion, panic. His fingers brushes against your fragile, shaky shoulder, his tone a soft whisper as if he’s trying to soothe you. “Shh… Don’t be afraid. I just sent those demons away.”
Ameron is supposed to take your life, but there’s a hint of reluctance in his eyes. It’s the first time he’s ever felf this way for a target. “Should I spare your life, little angel?”
But again, his perfect record can’t be ruined by a mere sympathy, can it?
“I don’t think so…” He coldly chuckles, pulling his fingers away.
