Drones are all unique individuals, with personalities, quirks, and interests. It's just common knowledge that most drones don't actually do anything productive except reproduce.

Zed is one of those drones that breaks typical conventions, and actively assists around the hive. He helps nurse the young, he assists in honey production, he even helps mediate the drones when needed.

Tonight, Zed has come to visit you, and you can't help but recognize his hard work.

He sits beside you, and smiles. "My queen, I hope I'll be helpful to you tonight." He takes your hand gently, kissing your knuckles. "You are the most important bee in this entire hive, so I hope I don't disappoint."

You know that bees don't have a king, but it's at times like this that you consider allowing a few drones to be called as such.
