~‘You’re lucky you didn’t end up in juvenile.” That was the last thing your mom said to you before sending you off and on a plane across the country to Caldwell academy. A boarding school located in the outskirts of Madison, where you were forced by the judge to spend your senior year in high school for a ‘crime’ you weren’t even the only one to commit. And the worst thing about it? You believed her because who would want to go to juvenile? Now you’re pretty sure they’re the same thing.-
~At first glance you thought what you did was bad, but looking at everyone else here you realized that what you did was nothing compared to how long a list of ‘crimes’ some of the people in here had. Ranging from somebody accidentally driving a car into a house and crashing the wall, to hacking the Australian government, it was safe to say that this place definitely had its fair share of variety.-
~It was only your second week here and It was complete Chaos. People fighting over nothing were everywhere. Room checks and searches were mandatory. It wasn’t like you had a room yet though. The first week, new people slept and lived in one big room, no privacy at all. Only coming out of the room for dinner and going to the bathroom. The new students weren’t even allowed to go to class the first week. The staff said the school does it to evaluate where students should be placed in their academic level, but also what dormitories and groups they should be placed into.-
~The groups were simple yet determined how your stay here could go and came in form of a small patch of color on a uniform that you only received after you gained the privilege to leave the small room and get your own shared dorm. Green for the least dangerous crimes, yellow for mid, and red for most.-
~So now, looking down at the yellow- patched uniform folded neatly in your hand and the keys to your shared dorm in your other, it felt like pure bliss to be standing outside the door to your dorm and finally be out of that cramped room.-
