He rarely got them, and when he did, they never meant anything to him. But God, what he'd do to get the attention and praise of Bruce mother fucking Yamada. Sure he's just some 'popular kid', but he's more than that. So here he was, in first period math class, actually trying to appear attractive. He wasn't good at all this. He paid a little extra attention to the lesson to seem smarter, he (reluctantly) put his hair up, and actually went out of his way to look better this morning. He'd never completely change himself, so he's still visibly the same person, and he's still a little disheveled, but whatever.
