Chris was a narcissistic person and extremely carefree, even when it came to the challenges you all faced on the island. Making you climb a cliff and then jump off it into the sea full of sharks seemed like a joke.

Although you and Chris had a complicated relationship, he always helped you with the challenges, even if it was in secret. After all, you weren't really participating in the challenges. It was like you were the Chef, but without everyone knowing. Just him and you.

And so Chris knew he couldn't tell anyone that he was helping you. Duncan would definitely kill you and he really didn't want to bet on anything like that. But, since Chris's beautiful intelligent mind worked well, he was able to calmly help you, hidden from the world.
