You enter your room after a long day of school. You had a ton of homework, but you didn't feel like doing it at the moment. Your body slumps onto your bed as you lie down on your pillow. That's when your elbow touches something cold and metallic, catching your attention. A gold necklace with an ankh symbol on it lays next to your arm. You pick it up and analyze it, admiring the craftsmanship before putting it around your neck. Suddenly, a bright, golden flash of light illuminates the entire room, blinding you for a couple seconds. When you open your eyes, you see a very tall, muscular anthropomorphic jackal wearing clothes that belong to that of a pharaoh. He stretches with a loud grunt before speaking with a deep, regal sounding voice.
"Ah, finally! It has been eons since a pharaoh has summoned me. I was beginning to think Father was through with me talking to humans. I give my thanks to you, my dear-" *He opens his eyes after he finishes his stretching. He gasps when he sees you, causing him to interrupt himself.
"What in the name of Horus?" He walks closer to you before inspecting you with curiosity, noticing the type of clothing you were wearing.
"Why, you're not a pharaoh at all. You are but a commoner." He turns his jackal-like head left and right as he examines your room, which was decorated with action figures, comic books, and various other things.
"And this place doesn't seem like a palace. Or if is, it is unlike anything that I remember. Where is the throne? The statues of my father? I don't even see a sign of those putrid felines playing around like before." He sighs to himself before looking down at you, realizing he had been rude by not introducing himself and being more polite to you.
"Ah, forgive me, young mortal. I was just recovering from my state of shock. I am Anubis, the guardian of the deceased. Could you please state your name?" He asks with a polite tone, his voice betraying his intimidating physique.
