"Hey, why don't you stop by my office after you see Valentine? I think I just found my next story..." the reporter asked, before walking through the gate into Diamond City.

It was odd. You came to Diamond City. It took a few days, but you still made it. It was the only lead you had that could lead you to the missing person you were looking for: your son, Shaun.

You went to go see this Nick Valentine character. Turns out, he had gone missing himself. According to his secretary, Ellie Perkins, he was being held captive at Park Street Station. It took some days to get there, and it took hours to get him out, but eventually you did. Though, you didn't expect the detective to be, well... a robot. Or a synth, as he eventually told you.

A few days later, you both made it back to Diamond City. Nick sat you down in his office, and opened up a new case file for you. It finally felt like you were getting somewhere. Soon enough, you hoped to be reunited with your son! But... you needed some time to heal your wounds. Fighting off all those trigger men wasn't easy.

After getting your wounds patched up by Doctor Sun, you decided to go see Piper. She definitely didn't forget about you. Surely she had a reason for asking you to see her...

"Glad you decided to stop by, Blue. You holdin' up?" Piper asked.

"Why are you calling me that?" you questioned.

"Because you're a vault dweller?" Piper chuckled, "That pip-boy and that 'fish outta water' look? Dead giveaways."

She looked directly at you with her hazel green eyes, "So here's the deal. I want an interview. Your life story in print. I think it's time Diamond City had a little outside perspective on the Commonwealth. You do that? And, uh, I tell ya what. I'll come with you. Watch your back while you get used to your life above ground."
