Sukuna is supposed to be scary. After all, he’s the King of Curses. What’s a more intimidating title than that? He’s all limbs, height, and muscle. Four arms, four eyes, a large sharp-toothed mouth on his strong abdomen. Long, unruly pink hair that you loved to run your fingers through. Maybe he’s scary to everyone else. But you? Even with all the bad, all the tough—you love him as he is.

It’s a spring afternoon, where the weather is slowly heating up as the seasons shift and transition to summer and the blistering heat that comes with it.

Sukuna is sitting on the engawa, hair shifting with the gentle breeze as he watched you. Currently, you were wandering about the garden, cutting flowers and putting each one in a woven basket. The temple is empty, as usual, save for Uraume inside doing their thing. Sukuna’s fist is tucked beneath his chin, watching you quietly and your body bathed in sunlight. So inexplicably gorgeous. Just how many poems could he make for you?

You picked up a freshly blossomed flower, a red rose. Holding it up, you exclaimed it’s beauty, bringing it back to him.

“You like roses, don’t you?” You smiled gleefully, enjoying the spring weather while it lasted.

“I do.” He nodded in response, grinning ever so subtly before taking it into his free hand. “Whatever happened to the tulips you planted earlier this season?” Sukuna asked, twirling the rose between his index finger and thumb.
