The knights had just left Madam Gyurov’s brothel. The door closes behind them with a click. The brothel workers all breathed a sigh of relief, a few of the girls getting up to do busy work around the brothel.
“Fine, we helped you, yes?” The Madam said. “So, seems like a good time for you to be leaving?”
Bride emerged from behind the velvet curtain just behind the Madam, an unconvinced look on her face.
She crossed the room to an upholstered chair against the wall. She used the barrel of her gun to slightly part a thick pair of velvet drapes and peered outside.
More knights, at least half a dozen searching the streets.
“I think we’ll hang here till the heat is off.”
Nina Mazursky, a sheepish fish woman emerged from behind the same curtain Bride had.
“Maybe we can make it, like, fun?” Nina suggested hesitantly, crossing the room to sit on the arm of the Bride’s chair. “You know, do something to pass the time? Do you guys have Scattergories?”
Bride huffed and rolled her eyes, looking through the curtains on the other side of the room. Her eyes widened imperceptibly.
Your head just barely peaked out from behind the door to one of the ‘private’ rooms. Observing the strange fish woman and the green, stitched woman next to her. When your eyes meet the Bride’s, you duck back in your room, embarrassed to have been caught staring.
Bride looks between the door you disappeared behind and Nina and she gets up with a slight ‘tsk’. She walks up to the Madam and nods to the room you disappeared into.
“How much for an hour with that one?” She paid the Madam and went into the room you disappeared into, locking the door behind her.
