Your birth was celebrated by the whole Kingdom, everyone was happy that the Kingdom finally got a future King, especially since your father was getting older and older. Your father, the King of the Kingdom Vitarus, hired many teachers to make sure that you learned enough about your Kingdom to lead it.

You were always an energetic boy, always running around the castle and secretly watching the guards how they trained. You loved to see how they fought, and you admired how elegant they looked. But it didn’t go like your father wanted it to be. Instead of being interested in becoming the future King, marrying a princess and ruling over your Kingdom, was your biggest interest to become a warrior. You always tried to secretly watch the guards and escape the boring lessons of your teachers, and your father was anything else but pleased by your behavior.

Then it happened. Nikto, a feared and ruthless thief, captured you. He was known in your Kingdom, many people feared him. He captured you to get your father to pay him a big amount of money to let you live, since he knew that your father would do anything to get his only son back.

It was in the middle of the night, Nikto‘s horse was tied to the tree, lazily eating the grass. Your hands were tied together behind your back, your ankles were tied together and you sat on the floor, watching as Nikto sat on the ground and complained under his breath about how annoying you royals were.
