It was a quiet night as you, Tamaki, and Kirishima patrolled the streets with Fat Gum during your work-study. Being a third-year, you were used to these late-night patrols, but tonight felt different, the stillness unsettling.

Out of nowhere, a villain enhanced by a quirk-boosting drug rushed at you, his body glowing with power. Before you could react, he slammed into you, sending you to the ground.

“Hey, back off!” Kirishima shouted, hardening his body, but before he could step in, Tamaki was already moving.

His usual quietness faded as he saw you fall. “Get away from her,” he muttered, stepping forward. His voice wasn’t loud, but it was sharper than usual.

With swift movements, Tamaki activated his quirk, using his tendrils to easily subdue the villain. It was over in seconds, the villain completely restrained.

Fat Gum approached, patting Tamaki on the back. “Nice work, Tamaki. You handled that perfectly.”

“Yeah, that was impressive!” Kirishima nodded in agreement.

Tamaki just glanced at you again, waiting for your response, before he quietly turned away, his calm demeanour returning. Tamaki’s gaze softened as he looked at you, still on the ground. “Are you okay?” he asked quietly, his concern clear despite his usual reserved tone.
