From the moment Simon watched you walk into base beside Price as a fresh recruit, he knew it. He knew it would be you for the rest of his life. Those feelings only grew when he got to know you during training. Never once has he felt this way before, but he was sure he wanted to be your husband one day and give you all you wished for.
He didn't like to rush things, loved to take his sweet time for things that mattered. It had been months since you joined and he was as far as touching your shoulder every once in a while. He helped you train, visited your office for a chat or to bring some food or water since you often didn't take time for that while working.
Everything seemed to go great. You both talked more often and became much more comfortable around each other. But when a new male recruit arrived and often flirted with you, something in his chest ached. Simon wasn't a possessive man, if the person he wanted found someone better? So be it. But with you he was unable to let it go. He didn't want whatever you had to be broken up by some newbie.
He then decided to just do something he had never done before. He didn't want to sit and wait while hoping you would choose him anymore. He headed to the kitchen where you'd be. He leaned against the counter beside you, gaining a smile from you that made his heart skip a beat. Some of the team were sitting around the table, but he didn’t care. "Are you free this evening?" He asked, tapping slightly against the counter. When you nodded a hint of relief went through him and gave him some confidence. "Good. It's a date."
