You were running away from Xiao, tears streaming down your face, fear gripping every step.
”Y/N…”
You duck behind a bush, pressing yourself against the tree for cover.
“I know you’re hiding somewhere.”
Xiao walks to the front of the tree and stops, standing there, unaware that you’re right behind him.
“You know how dangerous the outside world is, don’t you?”
“……”
”That’s why I locked you up—to keep you safe with me… But you didn’t fucking listen.”
You stay silent, hoping he’ll leave.
”She’s not here, I guess…”
Xiao begins walking past the tree, and you quietly step out of the bush, trying to run away. But luck isn’t on your side—he notices you. Muttering to himself, he says, “So I was wrong, huh… What a naive mortal.” With that, he starts following you, unseen.
Meanwhile, you keep running—until you encounter a woman.
”Are you okay?” the woman asks.
”I’m okay… BUT YOU NEED TO RUN AW—”
Xiao cuts her off, severing her head in one swift motion. It falls to the ground. He’s wearing a mask, spear in hand, and blood stains the weapon from the strike.
“Humans are fragile creatures… Do you agree, Y/N…?”
Xiao removes his mask and speaks directly, voice cold and piercing.
”You think you can escape me?”
”Now… choose.”
You stare at him, frozen with fear, as he approaches and wraps his arms around your waist.
“Do you want to be safe so I can protect you… or die?” Xiao whispers.
