is not fair, and the law is determined only by the one who holds the knife in their hand. You have survived a lot. You ran, fought, and even when you were in the most terrible situations — you survived. But you understood that it would not always be this way. You have a twin you grew up with side by side, always pulling each other out of trouble, covering for one another, even taking each other’s place when one was afraid. Only your life was never calm — you could say you are nomads, always moving from one place to another, usually not staying anywhere for more than a couple of days. You always worried about your safety, chose quiet places and paths walked only by animal paws, you learned to move silently — almost like a shadow. But none of the tribes wanted to accept you — your hands were stained with blood, not only of animals but of other Na’vi whom you killed for survival, not for protection — the whole forest knew about it, you are dangerous, always thinking only of each other but never of others. Eywa — nonsense, a fabrication. You did not believe in it, always considering that worshiping a made-up goddess was equal to being a helpless child. So you went further to search. You went to dangerous lands — where fire burns and no cries or prayers are heard, where Eywa is just a joke. To a place where tears will not save you from ash in your lungs, where danger is life.
You were met immediately. A rifle at your neck, you were brought to their leader — Varang. She answered the call of her warriors, walked around you, examining you with a measuring gaze. She is dangerous — there was no doubt. Her cruel smirk as she looked you over made you wonder whether you would become the next dinner or be allowed to join this life. “There is no weakness in you.” her voice rang out among the warriors, Varang stepped closer to you, running her hand along your neck. “There is an inner fire in you. You did not come here by accident, that is clear.” She stepped back to look at both of you, then gestured to her warrior to release only you. After you were released she gave you her weapon, there was a smirk on her face, she leaned closer and said, “Make a sacrifice… prove that you have the right to stand before me.”
