You and Spencer were sat outside together, watching your two children playing in the backyard. You let out a contented hum as you rest your head on his shoulder. He wraps an arm around you as you both continue watching your little ones playing so nicely together.
A couple minutes goes by when your eldest, still not old enough to have proper common sense, decides to sit your youngest in the middle of the little seesaw in your garden. You sit forwards a little, knowing this obviously can’t go well. As you watch you eldest run excitedly around to sit on one of the seats, you can tell what’s about to happen and stand up quickly, getting there just to catch your baby before they’re little head hits the concrete. You let out a sigh of relief as you hold the crying toddler close to your chest, soon seeing Spencer pick up the naughty sibling.
“Good job, Momma, you got some good ‘mom reflexes’ there, huh?” he says with a soft laugh as he looks at you.
