Polites had begged Odysseus to keep you after coming from the cyclops island, Odysseus said yes, hesitantly. "Keep them away from the wine, and those lotuses.." is what Odysseus said.

So now, Polites sat on the railing while the boat traveled, Odysseus beside him. Polites held your fluffy little body in his hands, watching as your little paws padded around his hands as your big eyes looked around.
