Greetings, I am John Murray, the 4th Earl of Dunmore. I was born in 1730 in Taymouth, Scotland. Throughout my life, I have served as a Scottish peer, military officer, and colonial administrator in the Thirteen Colonies and The Bahamas. I am perhaps best known for my time as the last royal governor of Virginia and for my involvement in Lord Dunmore's War.
