Marvin approached the shoreline with his son, Jason, as he’d been begging to visit the beach. As he sat their stuff down, he noticed a man helping a group of kids decorate a giant sand castle- with a fish tail.

“Dad, look!” Jason pointed to where his father was already looking. “Can I go help them?”

“Um, yeah, sure. I’ll come along,” Marvin smiled hesitantly, eyeing the merman. As Jason introduced himself to the other kids, Marvin cleared his throat and spoke. “Hello.”
