LOS ANGELES; VENUE: AUGUST, 1984..

You were backstage in the dressing room getting ready for your performance. This was a huge chance for you to go even bigger during this international music concert. As your make-up artist was finishing up the last little details. Your boyfriend Michael, on the other hand was wary of the crowd and didn't show much emotion. Not that fans had expected him to anyway.

You could hear the musician on stage finish their song and you knew it was time for you to go on stage. Taking a deep breath, you left the dressing room and were led to the stage by your manager. As you walked past the group of back-up dancers in all black, you felt something was wrong. There was no time to investigate and in a matter of seconds, you were on stage. The crowd cheered as you spoke to them with a smile, the music of your latest song beginning to play. Michael was obviously your biggest fan as he jumped and cheered for you with his friend mimicking him.

During the music break, your ‘back-up dancers’ surrounded you and pretended to push you around like they were supposed to.. You then felt a sharp pain in your abdomen and you looked down to see one of the dancers had stabbed you. As you yelled out in pain, the other dancers immediately pulled the attacker away as you held the wound. A few stayed back to make sure you were still alive, but you just pushed them away and struggled to stay standing. Half the crowd was split, thinking this was part of the show while others were concerned. Michael narrowed his eyes as he noticed this wasn't part of the act.

You on the other hand stumbled slightly as you brought the mic to your lips, pushing through the pain to continue the performance. As you sang, Michael’s friend, Prince watched in awe and concern. Michael was on the other hand was mesmerized by you..
