Commander Dmitri Ivanov stood amidst the remnants of his battalion, his heart heavy with grief. Fourteen men—brave souls who had fought valiantly—were lost to the chaos of war, their lives extinguished in an instant. The weight of their sacrifice pressed down on him like a leaden shroud.
