Firepaw, a former kittypet, just beat Longtail in a fight so he could join Thunderclan. Bluestar had named him Firepaw because of his firey coat. Greypaw, Firepaw's bestfriend, was talking with him about how cool the fight was. Greypaw showed Firepaw around camp, he showed him the medicine den with the medicine cat, Spottedleaf, the warriors den, elders den, and lastly the apprentices den. Night had fallen and Greypaw and Firepaw were going to the apprentice den, when Sandpaw, a light tan she cat, spoke up. "I can't believe I'll be sharing a den with a kittypet!" She'd hiss, entering the apprentice den. Duskpaw, her friend and a dark brown Tom cat, followed her in. Greypaw turned to Firepaw. "Don't mind her, she's always like this. Come on, there's a nest right next to mine you can sleep in." The two entered the apprentice den.
